Awareness Building

Theatre Based Behavioral Learning is experiential, immersive, and fun.

Theatre is an ancient art form to tell a story and is a powerful platform used widely to bring about change as it engages and interacts with the audience. The story as a vehicle makes it easier to convey a thought and the characters with their nuances make the story so real that the audience believes in it as much as the actors do. Historically theatre has been used to express concerns, to reveal conflicts, to initiate discussions on topical issues. An experiential journey using theatrical techniques can even resolve conflicts, address concerns and drive a desired behavioral change in an individual or an organization.

We perform different roles in our daily life. A spouse, a son or a daughter, a parent, a teacher or a student, a boss, a subordinate, a team member etc.. do we realize the importance of each of these roles that we play and their nuances or how each of these roles are different from the other? When actors are entrusted with a character or a role in theatre or a movie, they understand the role in the context of the story thoroughly with its nuances and then emote. Is this process any different from the roles that we perform in our daily life? Are we not then the actors in our daily lives? Life is a big show. Its important that each role is performed well every day and those are typically the days we are happy.

Theatre based Learning is experiential, immersive and fun, harnessing the inherent capability of human beings to act and emote. It can be extended to any behavioral attributes like Listening & Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Unconscious Bias, Conflict Management, Entrepreneurial DNA, Code of Ethics etc and can be suitably bundled and even blended with, say, Leadership development and coaching to support a behavioral journey from point A to point B.

Interactive theater is a flexible set of exercises and techniques that are used to create dialogue on issues of concern for an organization. Interactive theater has been used in over 70 countries in North and South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia. It has been successfully used in both urban and rural areas, and in diverse settings such as corporates, schools and universities, rehabilitation centers, orphanages, jails, and community development programs. Ventures will use theatrical techniques like role plays, playbacks & improvisations, story telling and interactive sessions to build strong awareness on behavioral aspects, and suitably bundle or blend with different modules & techniques to drive a desired behavioral outcome of an individual or an organisation
