Ventures organise workshops and training programs for both children and adults to foster their inherent capabilities to act and emote using theatrical techniques. These programs are structured to impart/ enhance theatrical skills like acting, voice modulation, non-verbal expressions, communication skills, script writing etc.
Ventures in its journey since 2014, has been training individuals, with little or no past experience in acting, to make them ready for stage. This is a rich experience which is harnessed to design and conduct programs suited for a group of children or adults and delivered online or in person as appropriate.
The theatre workshop journey commenced with workshops conducted in multiple groups with the kids participating in Commnications training with The Confident Communicator. Sima Mehta, the co-founder of The Confident Communicator wrote… “A superb workshop by Ventures. The Confident Communicator thanks Ventures for conducting such a fantastic workshop. It gave the kids an opportunity to interact with theatre professionals learning the art of emoting and presenting both verbal and non-verbal forms of communication in such an enthralling and engaging fashion. Ventures introduced Theatre Workshops for Kids, online, from October 2020 with “Construct…Emote…Enact” (CEE). CEE is a beginners program focusing on Voice Techniques and understanding the power of Voice to make one’s own calling card. An overwhelming response from both Kids and their Parents, encouraged us to add more modules. “Make Believe”, and “Make and Act” were added in quick succession and Ventures plans to add more modules to make the theatrical journey for the participants, holistic and complete. These workshops may be customized for “in-person’ sessions as well.
CEE focuses on Voice Techniques and their applications in acting/ communication /public speaking. It’s a 5 days workshop for 1.5 hrs per session each day with a presentation by the participants on the 6th day. Certificates are provided at the end of the workshop. It is curated for kids in the age group of 8 to 14 years

Make Believe takes a deeper dive into Acting with both voice and expressions. The participants learn the acting styles, techniques including Method Acting. They learn to understand characters in scripts, design their presentation and enact them. It’s a 6 days workshop for 1.5 hrs per session each day with a presentation by the participants on the 7th day. Certificates are provided at the end of the workshop. It is curated for kids in the approximate age group bracket of 9 to 16 years

Make and Act focuses on Scripting and Acting. The participants bring their own stories. They build upon it following the guidelines, script them understanding the logical flow and the structure and then enact them emoting multiple characters . It’s a 6 days workshop for 1.5 hrs per session each day with a break in between to allow the participants to finalise the script and then followed by a presentation on the 8th day. Certificates are provided at the end of the workshop. Kids aged 9 years or above and Adults can participate in this program.
