Ownership with empathy largely defines Entrepreneurial DNA
“Making things happen” or “nothing is impossible” or “don’t wait for an opportunity, create it” are some of the examples of manifestation of Entrepreneurial DNA. Ownership with empathy largely defines Entrepreneurial DNA. This behavioural aspect is key not only when one owns or promotes an enterprise but is of considerable significance with every employee or member of an organisation or enterprise. It’s a mindset which continuously creates value and protects it from being destroyed. Studies and experiments have shown that Entrepreneurial mindset may be nurtured and sharpened over a period of time as we all have that in our DNA. Increasingly organisations are looking at their people to demonstrate this behavioural attribute and make it a key differentiator in competitive environments.
Ability to challenge status quo, ability to navigate in difficult situations, ability to think out of the box are becoming must to haves in this competitive world. No longer are these abilities expected from senior leadership alone. New ideas that bring about change with speed and minimal disruption make a difference and are keys to survive and grow. While it is largely a mindset, certain skills do matter. Ability to lead, communicate, negotiate, learn, take risk, empathize are a few critical ones that may be called out.
Theatrical techniques with simulated contents set in different contexts, drive behavioural learning on Entrepreneurial DNA. As participants are exposed to real life situations in a non-threatening environment, they understand the attributes &skills including their finer aspects, learn in a well facilitated process that is aided and supported by interactive sessions exploring the nuances. Theatre based learning is fun, immersive and experiential as it takes the participants from point A to point B in their behavioural journey.
